Our installation framework provides a standardized environment
One main component of our work is a standardized client and server
infrastructure that has been designed to enable users and the IT
department to work efficiently. It provides an effective instrument
that saves costs and uses synergetic effects.
In order to facilitate this process, we offer you a prefab installation
framework that can easily be adapted to the requirements of your
company, thus allowing a fast implementation. This framework has been
designed for the use of Microsoft operating systems and covers all
Windows client and server versions.
In addition to that, the following products can be integrated without any great efforts:
- Exchange 2007 Server, Exchange 2003 and 2000
- Microsoft Office product family (from XP up to 2007), including Outlook
- Software deployment, e.g. via SMS 2003 but also via the new Microsoft Systems Configuration Manager 2007
- MDAs with Windows Mobile or Handhelds (Windows CE, Pocket PC, Palm)
- Remote connections and home offices as well as mobile computing from car, airplane, or hotel
- Terminal Server
- SharePoint Team Services
- etc.
Our framework relies on the guidelines of ITIL (IT Infrastructure Library) and MOF (Microsoft Operations Framework).
The installation of the PCs will be carried out using a script-based XP
client that can easily be cloned for bulk rollouts which allows a fast
deployment: Thus, an adaptation to different hardware platforms in the
company will be possible.
The ask:us installation framework is comparable to Microsoft’s BDD
(Business Desktop Deployment Framework) - with the difference, that our
product is available since 1996 and covers all platforms (NT 4.0 and
upwards). In addition to a simple imaging (see BDD Enterprise + OSD),
various hardware types and any software deployment product can be
integrated without great adaptation efforts.
And of course, we will provide you with a detailed documentation of
your new infrastructure (design specification, concepts, installation
plans, quality assurance tables), that can be used as a basis for a
certification according to BSI or ITIL.
Adapted solutions for large companies
Solutions that are available on the market do often not reflect the
requirements of medium-sized and large companies regarding security and
flexibility.
We offer you solutions that are adapted to your requirements and
consider the existing security guidelines in your company (e.g.
policies, Internet Explorer settings, screen saver configuration) as
well as your demands concerning the flexibility of the users (e.g.
using a notebook at different locations and at the company network).
Is your environment really secure?
Network security represents another important topic of our work: Using
NTFS permissions, firewalls and proxy servers (ISA Server) as well as
Virtual Private Networks (VPN), the network will be consequently
protected against unauthorized internal and external access on all
levels.
This also includes the protection of stand-alone PCs that are connected to the Internet via DSL or ISDN.
We encourage you with the definition of IT security management
processes that meet internal and external security requirements (ITIL,
IT Baseline Protection Manual, KonTraG).
Lower your costs
Due to a consequent standardization, the possibility of automated
re-installations, and simplified IT-relevant processes, we enable you
to reduce the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).
Associated with this, an analysis of the current state of your
environment becomes more and more important. This refers not only to
automated hard and software inventories but also to the registration of
service contracts, warranty times and service level agreements (SLA).
And we provide the solutions for a successful asset management.
Also the correct licensing strategy will help you to save money and
annoyance. The consideration to conclude a software assurance instead
of a re-investment after approximately 4 years, may appear positive for
financial reasons if a Select or Enterprise Agreement is not applicable.
